Bakery Merzenich on Hohenzollernring in Cologne

I go past it every morning and think of what kind of blasphemers, you hear something like that, then often see them sweeping the dirt to the neighbors (pharmacy) instead of sweeping it up. Well, that's why it is 2 stars, a little pretense in front of the bar doesn't hurt either ...

Merzenich: for me the most delicious bread rolls, rye rolls and the farmer's loaf - just great.

Have breakfast there several times. Large selection. Staff friendly even in the face of Corona. Seating simple but functional for a snack

Typical Merzenich products are excellent. Unfortunately, staff of this branch are underground.

more expensive than other branches. the handmade rolls are also getting smaller. friendliness underground (I specifically exclude the Turkish (?) colleagues). quality neat.

Expensive but tasty

I hereby apologize to the male employee, whom I dared to ask for sugar for my "coffee to go", which he then "threw" next to the mug without eye contact and disappeared. Since I was reluctant to stir the sugar in my coffee with my thick index finger or a branch that I would surely have found outside on the street, I asked the gentleman if he still had a wooden stick to stir. Disgusted and completely bored, he now had to go another 3 meters to the left to get a wooden stick, and then back 3 meters to me. When he also "put" the wand next to the mug, he asked: "Anything else?" I never forget the expression on my face ... there are people who shouldn't just work in sales, but somewhere where there are no customers, maybe behind the scenes. There is a great book: "Customer disruptive factor" - too delicious!

Very rude staff! Shop closes 10am before shop closes and treats customers as if they are annoying. Ordering several baguettes was rejected for no good reason and impolite. Generally, cleaning is also reluctant. I practically live next door and prefer to walk a few meters now.

The only problem of this place is that bakery ends up pretty quick - around 4pm

Slightly overpriced. Every now and then the shop ausfegen could not hurt. With so much bread crumbs on the earth you do not have to be surprised, even if pigeons "enter" the shop

I shop here every morning on the way to the office and just lick the walnut buns! Terrific, these things! Absolutely test! The staff is always very friendly! Keep it up!

Fresh food, excellent place to grab breakfast or lunch on the go. I appreciated the vegan options like over night oats and the avocado sandwich. There is a huge selection of options for you and the family to take with you on your day in Berlin. The train station is close and so are many good hotels. Tell your friends.

Typical merzenich place. Quality varies. Coffee is acceptable, tea is not that great.

The grumpy cat smile better than the man who serve me, except that I ask if something was vegan because I am allergic to eggs and milk, after research at the hotel I found this pastry contain butter, milk and eggs.
